The NSW State Government Biodiversity Information Working Group (BIWG) & z02 have launched BioNet Public. BioNet is an all-of-state-government initiative to provide quality species (flora & fauna) information to those in conservation, science and development planning.

BioNet (government version) is currently only accessible by the Australian Museum, NSW National Parks, NSW Fisheries and the Royal Botanical Gardens. The Public version of BioNet will offer similar functionality to BioNet Agency, though off less species records & limited location information for rare & threatened species.
